Ranchos de Placitas Property Owners Association
I. Welcome & Call to Order – President
- The meeting was called to order at 2:05PM.
- Attendees were informed the meeting was being recorded.
- Explanation provided that yellow cards would be used to vote.
- Graham – Architecture Chairmen and VP is out today on family business.
II. Approval of 27 Apr 2024 Meeting Minutes
- Announced only 19 voting members in attendance and 35 needed for a quorum (so we can’t officially vote on anything, but can take any motions for next meeting).
III. President’s Report
- Next year’s meetings already scheduled
- Sat January 22 – 10-11:30AM – Placitas Library
- Sat June 28 – 2-3:30PM – Placitas Library
- Gave a brief report on the recent community boil notification. Discussion followed.
- As requested by North Ranchos de Placitas Water & Sanitation Board leadership, questions should be directed to their board members.
IV. Officers & Committee Updates
- Architecture update (not official report) – see written report online
- In Graham’s absence Craig provided a list of four active Architectural projects in our Association
- 21 Camino Alto
- 21 Tejon Canyon
- 86 Camino Redondo
- 18 Canyon del Agua
- Graham has been working to add additional members to the committee.
- Treasurer’s Report
- Craig presented the report as acting Treasurer. – see report online
V. Old Business
- Speeding in Community
- Dave Hamlin updated the Association. – see reports online
- Road Committee – Gayle Reinhart
- Welcomes anyone to join the committee
- County website link to request road maintenance
VI. New Business
- Tumbleweeds are a problem – In addition to your own yards, a suggestion was made to pull them as people are out walking.
